Spoon rings originated in 17th century England and were originally used as wedding rings. Servants could not afford to have wedding rings made of precious metals, so they would steal the silverware from the manor houses and have them turned into wedding rings. For a time, you could tell whom the servants were working for by the crest on their rings.
While they might not be new, spoon rings do have a fresh appeal. Some women may enjoy them for their classic beauty--- in a way, they seem to have come straight out of an antique store. Other women might not like antique store jewelry, but favor spoon rings for the pretty, feminine charm of the renaissance curls and the overall wraparound look.
Zulumoon.com has several styles of spoon rings to choose from.
